LONGMONT, Colo. — The family of 19-year-old Aravind Elangovan, who was found dead in Golden Pond in Longmont, are left with more questions than answers surrounding their son’s death.

Aravind Elangovan's family laid the young man to rest Saturday, asserting he had a bright future ahead of him and seemed always in good spirit. Aravind’s father says his son suddenly started showing signs of depression in February. The family tried to intervene but Aravind fought back.

“We thought about taking him to therapy but he refused, actually he didn't want to go,” said Aravind’s Father, Elangovan Nainar.

Aravind unexpectedly left his family’s home wearing just a coat, shorts and no shoes in March. Aravind’s body was found Wednesday in a pond. Police are still investigating his death to determine if there was any foul play involved.

The family has set up a GoFund me account to help pay for Aravind’s student loans and funeral expenses. To help out the family just tap the following link
