DENVER – Motorists on Interstate 70 will be stuck on the asphalt for 20 minutes or more this week.
The Colorado Department of Transportation will be taking advantage of expected lower traffic volumes and begin rock scaling and mitigation on Georgetown Hill.
Traffic in both directions of I-70 should expect 20-minute traffic holds between mile posts 226 and 228 while crews install rockfall panels.
The work begins Tuesday and will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday of this week.
