Authorities say an El Paso County man has been arrested after he shot his father in the head during an argument.
The Gazette reports 46-year-old Clifford Bishop was arrested Sunday on suspicion of attempted murder and other charges. The victim, whose identity hasn't been released, is expected to survive his injuries.
Authorities responded to the family dispute at a Gleneagle home early Sunday. Three other family members, besides the suspect and the gunman, were reportedly in the home at the time of the shooting.
Members of the Douglas County Regional SWAT and police officers had surrounded the residence and evacuated nearby homes while the suspect barricaded himself inside.
Details about the gunman's arrest or what caused the violence have not been released.
The shooting remains under investigation.
