DENVER, Colo. — The Dumb Friends League is honoring veterans and active military members by waiving adoption fees from Nov. 11-13.

The shelter is offering in-person adoptions at the Leslie A. Malone Center. There could be longer wait times and they require a mask and temperature check before coming into the building.

Dumb Friends League is handling adoptions virtually at the Buddy Center in Castle Rock for cats and small pets only. Anyone interested can look at adoptable pets here
and sign up for a virtual adoption counsel.

The shelter requires a military ID or proof of service at the time of the adoption to offer the discount. The Dumb Friends League offers a 50% discount for veterans and active military year-round.
