A driver who ended up in a field three miles off the road told police he had no idea how he got there.
The driver called police around 1:30 a.m.
Douglas County deputies told Denver7 they found him in a field just north of Interstate 25 and Happy Canyon.
Deputies say the man was trying to get off the highway when he went down an embankment, up a culvert and over a barbed wire fence.
The man continued driving through the field for three miles - and even got out to open gates - and eventually crashed into a barn, deputies said.
Denver7 was there when deputies arrested the man. He faces charges for DUI and property damages.
