It happened on northbound I-225 before 3:45 a.m., according to the Denver Police Department. The woman stopped between South Yosemite Street and South Dayton Street.
The woman went to the hospital with minor injuries, police said. She was injured by broken glass but not shot.

Investigators told 7NEWS they believed it was an isolated incident.
