WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- Highway 34 between Greeley and Kersey was closed late Saturday for a deadly crash.
A vehicle struck a horse and rolled around 7:21 p.m., according to Trooper Alisha Danko with the Colorado State Patrol.
The driver died at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the collision were under investigation.
A total of four vehicles may have been involved in the crash which covered 400 yards, Danko said.
It was unknown if the horse was dead prior to the collision.
Highway 34 reopened after 2 a.m. Sunday.
