CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — A three-car crash in Castle Rock on Highway 85 left one driver dead on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say they were called to a crash near U.S. Highway 85 and Meadows Parkway just after 2:30 p.m. Officers say the driver of a Honda Accord made a u-turn from the southbound direction of U.S. 85 and crashed into two cars in the act.
The driver shot off the road into a culvert nearby off the roadway.
Although police aren't identifying the driver, they say he succumbed to injuries — which may not have been the result of the accident, police said — in the afternoon.
Police say their investigation continues, and there were no other injuries in the crash.
