AURORA, Colo. — An elderly woman crashed into an IHOP on E. Mississippi Avenue in Aurora Thursday afternoon, injuring five people, according to Aurora police.
At least five people had minor injuries, said Crystal McCoy with the Aurora Police Department. There were no fatalities.
The driver was identified as a woman in her 70s who had mixed up the brake and gas pedals, police said. She was parked and thought she was in reverse when she drove forward into the restaurant.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
