DENVER -- An 11-year-old Denver boy decided to dress up as Donald Trump for Halloween, but his mother says his costume garnered more unwanted attention than candy.
The mother, who didn't want to be identified, says her son's trick-or-treat trip was cut short after several made political remarks toward her and her son.
“It was really uncomfortable,” said the mother.
The boy's mother says she would have never let him dress up as Trump had she known it would get this much attention.
“They were reacting to Donald Trump; they weren't reacting to my son. It immediately turned from a safe outing for children to something where people had to interject some pretty strong and most negative feelings,” said the mother.
