JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- An adult woman was killed and her son transported to the hospital with unknown injuries following a dog attack in Conifer Monday evening.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's office says two suspected pit bulls were involved in the attack. It's not known what led up to the attack or if the animals belonged to the victims.
When deputies arrived, the two dogs were seen running around the property. Animal control officers were later able to retrieve the animals and place them under quarantine.
The names of the victims have not been released. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office say's the son is believed to be in his teens.
