Distracted driver slams into State Patrol car on C-470

The Colorado State Patrol lost another patrol car to distracted driving over the weekend.

The CSP says a distracted driver slammed into the rear of the trooper's car parked on the shoulder on C-470.

The trooper was assisting another driver who had ran out of gas. The patrol car had its emergency lights on, the CSP says.

The driver that crashed into the trooper's vehicle was cited for distracted driving. There were no injuries.
