Vail lodging managers are getting worried this Christmas season after a survey showed the number of reservations are down. Now some lodges are offering Christmas week deals.
Businesses are concerned because the overall winter lodging scene is lagging behind last season's bookings. As of Nov. 30, advance bookings were down about 8 percent, and it's still a concern.
According to the Vail Daily (http://tinyurl.com/zstgua2), the strength of the U.S. dollar has made travel to the United States more expensive and consumer confidence is wavering.
Vail Mountain is in great shape right now. Just in time for the holidays! #VailSnow
