DENVER — Denver International Airport is getting ready for more than a million passengers to pass throughout the airport between Monday, Dec. 24 and the following Sunday.

Between Christmas Eve and Dec. 30, DIA is anticipating 1.2 million people to fly in or out of the airport, said Emily Williams, communications manager with the airport.

As of the morning of Dec. 20, the busiest travel day before Christmas was Dec. 21. The Thursday after the holiday, Dec. 27, will be the busiest day of the whole holiday season, she said.

Passengers are encouraged to arrive at DIA at least two hours before their flight’s departure time. They can use www.FlyDenver.com for flight details, security line wait times and the status of the parking lots.
