Deputies shot a man, after he shot a woman, early Wednesday morning, according to police.
Officials said Milliken police officers were called to a home on Saddleback Drive around 12:40 a.m. on report of a disturbance involving a husband and wife.
When officers arrived, they said they found the wife had been shot and her husband had a gun.
"The male was reportedly firing the weapon randomly while officers were inside the residence and when officers confronted the suspect they discharged their weapons at the adult male suspect, striking him," according to a news release sent by police.
The husband and wife were taken to North Colorado Medical Center. Police did not release their conditions.
Two children and possibly another adult were in the home, officials said. They were not hurt.
Police said officers were not injured in the confrontation.
