A viewer saw our story and wanted to do something for the veteran.
Dean Glorso drew a sketch for John and his family. Glorso says it's to honor him.
"He's a hero of mine and I wanted this to be documented," he said.
The drawing's called "First Flag" and shows John at the top of Mount Suribachi.
John never made it to the top because he was wounded.
Glorso served in Vietnam.
