Friday, March 9, members of the LETR are joining Denver7 in raising money for Special Olympics. You can help out by call 303-777-7492 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. You can talk to a police officer, thank them for what they do, and help them out by donating a cause that is close to their hearts. The officers say that after seeing three Colorado deputies killed in the line of duty in just a few weeks time, working with the young athletes who are part of the Special Olympics Colorado program has helped bring smiles to their faces.

Here’s how your money can help:

  • A $50 donation can fund one athlete in the Special Olympics Colorado young athlete program
  • A $200 donation can start a brand new team

More than 10,000 volunteers help Special Olympics Colorado support more than 21,000 athletes in Colorado. You can learn more about the programs offered by Special Olympics Colorado and even volunteer by visiting their website.
