DENVER – Police are asking for the public’s help finding two suspects in the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old high school student on East Colfax Avenue in Denver earlier this week.

Police said they responded to the Bourbon Grill, 571 E. Colfax, at about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 1 and found the victim, identified as Reese Grant-Cobb, outside the restaurant. Police said he had been assaulted by “multiple” people and stabbed.

Grant-Cobb was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Denver Post reports Grant-Cobb was 17 years old and attended the Denver School of Science and Technology Stapleton High School.

Police said they located a juvenile male suspect near the scene of the stabbing and took him into custody but officers are looking for two other suspects caught on surveillance footage in the area. Police said the two male suspects were observed leaving the scene headed westbound on Colfax.

East High School plans to have a vigil at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Anyone with information on this incident should call Denver police at 720-913-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
