Denver police, Crime Stoppers announce cash reward for information on homicide of 15-year-old

DENVER — Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information on the homicide of 15-year-old Wayli Alvarado-Gonzalez in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Alvarado-Gonzalez was assaulted and killed around 1:45 a.m. after an altercation with other males near the 7-Eleven parking lot at 1850 S. Sheridan Boulevard, police said. According to a medical examiner, he died of "sharp force injuries."

Police found Alvarado-Gonzalez around 3 a.m. outside the gas station. He was transported to Denver Health, where he died.
