At the end of 2017, Kyle Nesbit made a New Year's resolution for 2018 to get back to the gym and improve his health. One year later and 50 pounds lighter, he's inspiring others.

Last year, Nesbit weighed 282 pounds. He said he wasn't happy with the way he looked or how he felt.

"I was having shortness of breath when I would just lean over to tie my shoes," he said.

For someone who enjoyed sports and fitness, this represented a low point. So, in 2018 Kyle resolved to get back to the gym.

"I just wanted to get myself coming in at least four times a week doing 30 minutes of cardio," he said.

The numbers on the scale didn't change much in the first two months, which meant Kyle had to use other benchmarks to measure his progress. He noticed he was feeling better, and that gave him the motivation to keep going.

Now, 365 days later, he's lost 50 pounds. But that took 365 days of hard work, and recommitting to his resolution every morning, even when he didn't feel like hitting the gym.

"There’s not a single day when I come when I did not want to be here that I don’t feel like million bucks walking out," he said.
