DIA bracing for snowstorm

Denver International Airport is bracing for heavy snowfall through the early part of this week.

Denver7 meteorologists say up to 12 inches may fall by Tuesday afternoon.

DIA reports that airlines cancelled 14 flights Sunday and 150 on Monday. About 1,500 flights go through the airport on an average day.

As of Sunday afternoon, there aren't any significant delays.

Snow removal crews will work on the tarmacs over the next few days and de-icing procedures will happen as necessary.
