DENVER - The Denver International Youth Hostel was evacuated Tuesday evening for fire-code violations. Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced.
The hostel, located at 630 East 16th Avenue in Denver, had numerous serious fide-code violations, according to the Denver Fire Department.
Fire officials said the building was unsafe and can not be occupied.
It’s not known how many people were evacuated. The Red Cross opened a shelter at 2915 North High Street.
