Investigators are looking into what caused a fire that heavily damaged a dental lab.

The fire in the 9900 block of West Standford Avenue, near the intersection of West Quincy Avenue and South Kipling Street, was reported shortly before 2 p.m. on Friday.

Fire officials tell Denver7 that someone was in the building at the time of the fire.

A relative of the business owner tells reporter Liz Gelardi that the owner took a dog for a walk and the dental lab was on fire when he returned.

The lab which makes crowns and other dental orders recently obtained new equipment.

More than 40 firefighters responded to the fire.

At one point all firefighters were evacuated from the building because there was a concern it would collapse.

No one was injured in the fire,

This is not far from a fire that killed two people and injured five- including a firefighter- on Jan. 12.

The fire at 9752 W. Stanford Avenue killed Ralph Andrade III  and his disabled son, Andrade IV.
