A local home builder wants to do its part to rebuild a Denver widow’s life.
Metro Taxi says Darren Bloomquist was moonlighting as a cab driver to take care of his disabled wife. He was shot and killed on the job last weekend.
Oakwood Homes of Colorado will match donations made to Bloomquist’s family on the GoFundMe page up to $10,000.
The company’s headquarters are in Green Valley Ranch, where Bloomquist died.
"We want to provide an opportunity for neighbors to help the Bloomquist family,” the company said.
Metro Taxi has offered a $5,000 reward for arrests. Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000.
