Deputies arrested a woman in Elbert County after the death of her husband.
The Elbert County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home north of Elizabeth on Friday morning at 10:23 a.m. for a medical assist.
"While en route deputies were advised that reporting party, Debra Behrens, told dispatchers that her husband Lloyd Behrens was breathing, but had lost consciousness," the sheriff's office said.
Lloyd Behrens was transported to the hospital, but he didn't survive.
The sheriff's office said deputies arrested Debra Behrens on charges of First Degree Assault.
Officials said they are waiting for autopsy results to determine Lloyd's cause of death.
