JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- The Colorado State Patrol said a driver crashed her car on the way to drop off her ballot Tuesday.
Troopers tweeted that the driver was speeding and slid down an embankment on Snowshoe Road south of Evergreen.
Troopers arrived on scene just before 1 p.m. to find the driver with her ballot and only minor injuries.
It’s not clear if the driver was able to have her vote counted. They are asking everyone to give yourself extra time to vote.
