DENVER – The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at Vail Pass are back open following a crash that shut down the lanes for about an hour Monday afternoon.
Colorado Department of Transportation camerasin the area showed a banged-up camping trailer being towed from the middle of the interstate. It apparently became unhinged during a crash.
Snow is creating wet and slippery conditions through the mountain corridor. Vail Pass is snow-packed and icy in spots.
