Aurora Police closed a street for hours to investigate a bizarre crash and shooting case at East Iliff Avenue and South Troy Street.
The investigation started with a two-car collision at 10:40 on Tuesday morning. Officers arrived at the intersection and found one of the drivers had been shot in the head, and the back window of a blue Volkswagen Passat was shot out, police confirmed.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. Police said his condition was critical. It's not clear whether he suffered any injuries in the crash, as well.
