9 a.m. — Colorado State Patrol said the report of a suspicious package at the west steps of the state capitol is a "non-issue" and the situation is resolved.
8:40 a.m. — Authorities confirmed the bomb squad is responding to the west steps of the Colorado State Capitol after a suspicious package was located. The west steps are taped off with caution tape. Lincoln Street, Colfax Avenue and 14th Avenue are open to traffic.
