DENVER - New and stunning details surfaced Tuesday in an alleged kidnapping that ended with a double shooting in Wheat Ridge.

Court documents allege that the kidnapping occurred shortly after the victim left the Puerto Vallarta bar on Federal Boulevard.

She was a former employee.

As she headed down Federal, she noticed one of her tires was going flat and that a red pickup truck was following very closely behind her.

She pulled onto West Jewell and then onto Hazel Court.

That's when the suspect, Jesus Alberto Garcia-Chavez, allegedly hopped out of the truck, yanked her out of her car and forced her into the truck.

According to the affidavit, several men who were with Garcia-Chavez rifled through the victim's car, then got in the truck. They took off to the mountains.

Court documents allege that Garcia-Chavez threatened to kill his ex, but one of the other men talked him out of it.

They drove down to Wheat Ridge, where the victim escaped, ran to a nearby house and frantically pounded on the door, screaming for help.

Security video shows the suspect terrorizing the victim, pulling her away from the door and trying to carry her to the pickup.

The victim was shot in the leg because she wouldn't willingly go with Garcia-Chavez.

Brian Geer, the Good Samaritan who opened the door and ran out to help, was shot in the hip.

"He said, 'You want to be shot too?'" Geer told Denver7, "and then pulled the trigger."

Geer survived.  So did the suspect's ex-girlfriend.

Geer is facing an extended recovery.  A family friend has set up a GoFundMe account to help cover he Good Samaritan's medical bills. Here is a link to that account: https://www.gofundme.com/2spmd8c

Suspect threatened to kill ex-girlfriend in July

On Tuesday, Denver7 learned that Garcia-Chavez allegedly threatened to kill her before.

On July 10, a Denver man heard yelling and non-stop horn-honking outside his house.

He walked out to his front porch and saw a man yelling at a woman who was sitting in her car.

He said, "What's going on?"

The man told Denver7 that the suspect stopped yelling at the woman, pointed a gun at him and said, "Do you have a problem?"

"I didn't say another word," the man said. "I just took a step back."

The victim told police that the gunman was her ex-boyfriend, Jesus Garcia-Chavez.

She said he pointed a gun at her head and said, "Watch b----!  Watch b----!"

She stated that she was afraid for her life and for the life of her 7-month-old son.

The suspect is being held in the Denver Jail on $100,000 bond and is still awaiting the formal filing of charges.
