An alleged drunk driver was tased by a Colorado Springs Police officer during a traffic stop on Saturday, according to an official with the department.

Police say officer Spicuglia was in the area of North Carefree and Oro Blanco at around 3 a.m. when he saw a a silver Buick sedan make a right turn without signaling and weaving.

Spicuglia then stopped the car about two blocks away, in the area of Oro Blanco Dr. and Artistic Circle, and, upon contacting the driver, Spicuglia noted the driver was possibly impaired from an alcoholic beverage.

According to Colorado Springs officials, Darcy Hall refused to comply with commands to exit the vehicle and resisted attempts to remove her from the vehicle.

Moments later, CSPD officer Taylor who arrived at the scene to help Spicuglia, deployed her Taser and officers were able remove Hall from the vehicle and place her into handcuffs.

Hall was arrested and subsequently booked into the El Paso County Jail for failing to use turn signal, roadways laned for traffic (weaving), DUI, DEAC, and obstructing a police officer.
