A Colorado astronaut returned to Earth Friday morning after five months in space.

Kjell Lindgren, M.D., went to the International Space Station in late July. He returned Friday on a Soyuz with two other astronauts.
This was Lindgren's first trip in space.
His Twitter account calls him a "space nerd in paradise."
Lindgren was born in Tawian and raised in England. He graduated from U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado State University and the University of Colorado. He is board certified in emergency medicine and aerospace medicine.
