Election Day in Colorado has arrived. Are you ready for it? Here’s what you need to know.

Can I still register? And where do I go to do that?

Yes. You can register throughout the day on Election Day. To find where you should register, which is the same place you vote, visit Go Vote Colorado’s website here. It will even pull up a map to show you how to get to your polling location.

Can I see a sample ballot before I go to the polls?

Yes. Go Vote Colorado has posted sample ballots on its website. Open the webpage, select your county, click next and enter your city name and address. Aside from the “SAMPLE” watermark written across the ballot, it will look identical to what you’ll see at the polls.

Where can I find more information on the candidates and issues?

We have an Election 2018 page set up just for that purpose. Find information on the mayoral race between Democrat Jared Polis and Republican Walker Stapleton, how various amendments and propositions can affect you and more. We’ve also fact-checked various political ads.

Do you have questions about how to vote? Did you encounter an issue at the polls?

Don’t panic. Just Vote Colorado is just a phone call away. This Denver-based group can help you no matter where you live in the state. Just call the hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE and 888-VE-Y-VOTA. Trained volunteers in the call center can answer any of your questions — in both English and Spanish — between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Election Day. If you want to contact your local election office, click here for a list of counties and phone numbers.

What if I need a ride to my polling location?

Both Uber and Lyft are offering discounted rides to polling locations on Election Day. Uber riders can get up to $10 off their ride using the promo code VOTE2018. Lyft users can grab a ride to the polls for 50 percent off with various codes, depending on your location.

November 6, all Lyft rides to the polls are 50% off. Let’s get your voice heard. Get your promo code:https://t.co/jncLkkl8yn #TheRidetoVote pic.twitter.com/uc4z71ujiQ

When is my last chance to vote?

All polls close of 7 p.m. If you’re still in line at 7 p.m., you’re permitted to wait until you’ve cast your ballot.

How many ballots are already in?

As of Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., about 1,853,100 ballots had been returned — either mailed in or dropped off. Ballots can still be dropped off on Election Day, but only until 7 p.m. Click here to see a breakdown of the ballots that had been counted as of Monday morning.

Where can I watch the results as they come in?

After the polls close at 7 p.m., those numbers will start trickling in. And you can keep track of them on our 2018 Colorado Election Results page.
