Climber survives 60-foot fall in Eldorado State Canyon Park

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. – A man climbing in Eldorado State Canyon Park survived after falling 60-feet Monday evening.

The 32-year-old man was climbing the Recon Wall on the “Evictor” climbing route when he fell.

Boulder County emergency services responded to 9 Kneale Road around 5:30 p.m. It took rescue crews about two hours to evacuate the climber.

The man was taken to Boulder Community Hospital with moderate injuries.

Witnesses told deputies that the man is an experienced climber and familiar with the difficult climbing route.
