Clerk shot, killed in Colorado Springs robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A clerk in his late 60s was shot and killed during a robbery in Colorado Springs Wednesday night.

Police responded to an alarm at the business located in the 3300 block of Academy Boulevard just before midnight.

Paramedics found the clerk inside and rushed him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim has not yet been identified.

Police are investigating and have not made an arrest. Suspect information has yet to be released.
