LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — The Civil Air Patrol is searching for an overdue aircraft that departed Erie Monday morning.
The pilot of the missing Cessna 210 was the only person onboard when it took from the Erie Municipal Airport around 8a.m. It was scheduled to arrive in Richfield, Utah, but never made it.
Using three aircraft, the Colorado Wing of Civil Air Patrol launched a search for the single-engine plane Monday evening. Pilots are reporting heavy snow and windy conditions in the search areas.
The CAP Incident Command Team, led by Maj. Von Campbell, is working out of the Fort Collins area.
