Two injured, one killed after they were struck by hit-and-run driver in Park Hill on Thanksgiving

Update 8:45 a.m. — The Denver Police Department said one of the females who was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle has died at the hospital. Authorities are still looking for a black or dark-colored sedan, possibly a Cadillac, with damage to its front end and windshield, DPD said. 


DENVER — Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene after hitting three people who were crossing a street on Thanksgiving.

Denver police were called to Martin Luther King Boulevard and Quebec Street at 8:15 p..m. Thursday. 

"Initial investigations revealed that a car traveling northbound on Quebec Street struck three pedestrians that were crossing in the crosswalk in an eastbound direction," said Sgt. Chad Kuroda with the Denver Police Department.

The vehicle continued northbound on Quebec Street without stopping, according to witnesses. 

Two women and a man were struck. One was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The other two had serious injuries. 

"The description (of the suspect vehicle) that we got from witnesses is a dark blue or black sedan, possibly with front-end damage and possibly a Cadillac, based on some of the evidence we've seen out here at the scene," Kuroda said.
