SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — An uncovered gem for those looking to view the Great American Solar Eclispe turns out to be just a few hours ride from the Denver metro area.

Captain Critters Country Campground is still taking reservations for $50 per RV spot and camping site, of which there are roughly 75 available.

According to Sue Maiwald, the proprietor of the site, offering spots at an affordable price is a goal specifically so wealthy people aren't the only group who experience the eclipse.

Maiwald said she has stocked up on solar eclipse glasses, also, and would be happy to share with those who come to camp.

Captain Critters Country Campground can be reached at 308-630-3144, or by email here.
