ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- Fire crews worked to battle a small grass fire that sparked soon after a home burned to the ground.
Fire crews from Bennett, Franktown, Brighton and South Metro Fire District responded in an effort to protect other structures from igniting.
Denver7's helicopter could see the home burn down, with just a chimney standing, along with a shed ablaze. Grass and hay bales near the farm were all also burning.
Police in Adams County say they don't believe any injuries were reported from the blaze, however they did announce evacuations were underway for residents in the area of 33900 East 40th Ave.
Steady winds of more than 20 miles per hour helped feed the fire, leading authorities to call for air support to drop water from a helicopter.
Denver7 will update this story when more details are available.
