— About Kayvon Webster by Broncos Insider Troy Renck —
The Broncos drafted Kayvon Webster in the third round of the 2013 draft. A former football and track star at the University of South Florida, Webster started two games at cornerback his rookie season. He morphed into a nickel back and special teams ace over the past two seasons.
He made several plays during the Broncos’ Super Bowl run that helped pin teams back on punt and kick returns. Webster, 26, grew up in a large family in Liberty City, and lived with relatives and friends throughout his high school career, refusing to abandon his dream of playing college football. He became close with players like Teddy Bridgewater and Antonio Brown.
Webster will be an unrestricted free agent in March. The Broncos remain interested in keeping Webster, but he could attract more money and a potential starting opportunity on the open market. He has 83 tackles and one interception his career.
