Break-in suspects have been targeting the same Jefferson County home for the past year

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- For 33 years, Gary Peiffer never had to worry about people breaking into his home, but now he has surveillance cameras all over the place.

“I have a got a total of nine cameras now,” said Peiffer.

He installed the cameras recently in hopes of capturing the faces of the suspects that have been breaking into his home for the last year.

“They just keep coming back,” said Peiffer.

For the last year, the same group of suspects have been breaking into his home, vandalizing the property and stealing anything of value.

“They stole the car right out of the driveway, we got it back about two or three weeks later and it was totaled,” said Peiffer.

The suspect’s also stole the wheelchair belonging to Peiffer’s wife, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The suspect's then attacked his greenhouse and cost him over $8,000 in damages.

“They sliced through them with razor blades to get in the greenhouse,” he said

The suspects then returned again, but they were armed and pointed their shotguns at Peiffer’s cameras.

“You are almost afraid to sleep at night because you don't know what's going on outside the place,” said Peiffer.
