BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. -- A resident who brought a box of World War II-era munitions to a fire hall for disposal sparked commotion in the quiet town.
Police say a resident brought grenades and bazooka rounds to the Red, White and Blue Station 4 at Tiger Run Road for disposal, prompting the fire department to evacuate, and nearby businesses to shelter in place.
Jefferson County Bomb Squad members rushed to the scene, removing the munitions -- which are dangerous due to their age -- to hand them over to another bomb squad for dismantling.
Police released photos of the munitions after removing them from the area.
