Investigators are trying to determine what led to a body being found in a burning SUV.
Deputies were initially called to a vehicle fire at mile marker 290 on Highway 85, near Nunn, at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies said that when they arrived, they found an SUV on the shoulder, fully engulfed in flames.
One person was found dead inside, officials said.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office said it is launching an investigation into the cause of the incident, but they said there is no threat to the safety of the public at this time.
