Body found after suspicious fire at Northglenn apartment complex

NORTHGLENN, Colo. – A suspect has been arrested after police in Northglenn discovered a body amid an apartment fire Friday morning. 

Investigators are calling the fire suspicious and were looking for a vehicle in connection to the incident.

Emergency responders were called to 350 West 114th Avenue in Northglenn around 8:55 a.m. Upon arrival, officers made entry into the residence where they discovered the body of an unknown person.

The fire was extinguished and no other apartments were damaged.

The vehicle in question, a 1999 Navy blue Jeep Grand Cherokee with Virginia license plate KMM3665, was found at around 12:30 p.m. and officers arrested Joshua Misegadis, 26, following a chase.  

Officers are investigating the incident as a homicide. 

The victim has been identified as Joseph Montoya, 79.
