DENVER – This August, enjoy discounted admission to the Denver Zoo on any day that the forecasted high temperature reaches above 90 degrees.
Denver7 and the Denver Zoo are teaming up to offer Bodhi’s Bargain Days – named after Bodhi, one of the zoo’s elephants – all month long. Based on Denver7 Chief Meteorologist Mike Nelson’s forecast the night before, the Denver Zoo will be offering $1 dollar off admission for every degree over 90.
The zoo also will be offering $7 off memberships on those days as well as special buy-one-get-one-free offers on soft serve ice cream and Dole Whips.
Zoo staff also will be giving animals special treats and activities on those extra hot days.
Starting July 31, watch Chief Meteorologist Mike Nelson’s forecast at 10 p.m. on Denver7 to find out if the forecasted temperature will break 90 degrees the following day. If so, the Denver Zoo will host a Bodhi’s Bargain Day!
