Wednesday, June 27 is Bike to Work Day.

More than 36,000 people are expected to bike to work, according to Way To Go, a group whose mission is to reduce congestion and increase air quality.

More than 1/3 of the cyclists will be biking to work for the first time.

"What we have found is that 38 percent of all participants are first time cyclists," said Celeste Stragand with Way to Go. "It's not necessarily an all or nothing. Try it one day a week -- you've reduced your footprint by 20 percent."

One of the perks of biking to work on June 27 is stations, places to stop for food and drinks.

"Burritos, bagels, mimosa, coffee, Red Bull -- lots of different offerings through out the region," Stragand said.

BikeToWorkDay.US offers a mapping program to find your best route to work, there's a list of stationsand what they're offering Wednesday, and a place to register so you'll be eligible for prizes.

Bike to work participants also get a deal on lunch. Chipotle is offering a buy-one, get one free deal on a burrito, bowl, salad or tacos from 10:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Just show your bike helmet at the register.
