DENVER – Grab a friend or three – you’ll need them to help you carry this mammoth case of beer from Denver-based Declaration Brewing.

Just in time for 4/20, the brewery announced the 420 Freedom Pack, a wooden crate full of 420 cans – that’s 17 and a half cases – of beer.

Mustard Robbins, who works in sales at Declaration, said the brewery was inspired by the 99-pack from Austin Beer Works. But Declaration wanted to blow Austin out of the water with the biggest case of beer ever created.

“Our motto here is, ‘Overkill is underrated,’” Robbins said.

As you can imagine, the 420 Freedom Pack is heavy. Robbins said it has handles built in so that four people can easily carry it. You can also take the individual cases out of the box if you want to bother with carrying the thing.

The pack includes three beers: Impure Penelope Armstrong American IPA, Hardtack Copper Ale and Purloined Pearl Pale Ale.

The 420 Freedom Pack is available now for $685 at Winter Park Wine and Spirits in Winter Park and at Declaration’s Preample Taphouse in Denver.
