DENVER – South High School in Denver was placed on lockdown for a brief period of time Tuesday after a student brought a BB gun onto campus. The lockdown was lifted shortly after noon.
The school, located at 700 East Louisiana Avenue, was placed on lockdown immediately following a tip that a student had brought a weapon onto school grounds.
Police were notified and began investigating. Officers found the BB gun somewhere on campus and confiscated the weapon.
The parents of the student were contacted by school officials, police say.
