DENVER -- With storms moving through Colorado on Friday, some people could see extensive hail damage. Before getting the dents and damages fixed, some may be thinking there will be more hail to come. Why not just wait? Contact7 is helping you navigate the do's and don'ts of hail repair.
"What you don't want to do as a homeowner is get the claim and do nothing with it and try to get another claim on the next storm next year that you never did anything for," said Bobby Laughlin, Senior Residential Estimator with Academy Roofing Inc. "That's running the risk of it being fraudulent and getting your claim denied."
Something else to keep in mind when looking at your options for roof repair is doing your homework to make sure the adjuster and contractor you are working with are legitimate.
"You eliminate the risk of them walking away on you and becoming a statistic with a fraudulent contractor interaction that we are littered with all over the city," said Laughlin.
