Autopsy: Woman found dead in downtown Denver loft was stabbed multiple times

DENVER — A woman found dead inside her downtown Denver apartment early Wednesday morning has been identified. The cause and manner of her death were also revealed.

According to a release from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, Jeanna Leslie, 49, was stabbed multiple times. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is being investigated as a homicide. 

Denver Police, responding to a request from friends or family to check on her welfare,found her body inside her apartmentat Rio Grande Lofts, located in the 1500 block of Stout Street, at about 12:30 a.m. 

According to posts from her Facebook page, Leslie recently moved to Denver from Texas. She had at least one child and worked in education at some point.

No arrests have been made, and police said they did not have any information on a possible suspect or suspects.
